Odies But Goodies rounds up a decade of Old Dominion hits across three LPs, the Nashville five-piece's first career-spanning collection.
Matthew Ramsey, Trevor Rosen, Brad Tursi, Whit Sellers and Geoff Sprung were seasoned songwriters long before they were radio regulars, and it shows in every hook. Their trick has always been the twist in the lyric, the line that makes you laugh a second before it makes you wince. Released in 2024 with producers Shane McAnally and Ross Copperman behind much of the catalogue, this set lines up the songs that made them one of country's most reliable hitmakers.
Break Up with Him still sounds like a late-night text you know you should not send, all sly grin and easy groove. No Such Thing as a Broken Heart turns a pep talk into a fist-in-the-air singalong, while Hotel Key finds a whole summer romance hiding in a forgotten souvenir. One Man Band slows the pace to a warm, devoted sway that feels made for a first dance.
The production is glossy without losing its front-porch warmth, with chiming guitars, laid-back drums and harmonies stacked like old friends leaning on a bar.
