Wolves in Wolves' Clothing is NOFX at their snottiest and sharpest, a 2006 blast of political punk pressed here on yellow vinyl.

The band's tenth studio album landed in the thick of the Bush years, and Fat Mike had plenty to get off his chest. Produced by Bill Stevenson, Jason Livermore and Fat Mike himself, it was their longest studio album to that point, though most of the songs still race past in under three minutes.

"Seeing Double at the Triple Rock" is a hook-loaded love letter to a favourite punk bar, as catchy as anything in their catalogue. "Leaving Jesusland" aims its sarcasm squarely at the religious right, and "Cantado en Español" does exactly what the title promises, delivered at full tilt.

The playing is tight and melodic, with buzzsaw guitars and whiplash tempo changes, while the band's trademark sarcasm finds fresh targets at every turn. The title track keeps things short and gleefully unfriendly, done and dusted in under two minutes.

Two decades on, it holds up as one of the strongest records of the band's later years and a reminder that skate punk could still have teeth. On bright yellow wax, it makes a loud addition to any punk shelf.
