Nine Inch Nails reopen the Grid on TRON Ares: Divergence, a 2LP companion that bends their film score into stranger, more club-ready shapes.

Released in 2026, it follows the soundtrack to the 2025 film TRON: Ares, which Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross issued under the Nine Inch Nails name rather than their own, and pairs previously unreleased score material with a long list of remixes. The result sits halfway between soundtrack and remix album.

"Converge" and "Godmode" are among the new score pieces, all pulsing synths and coiled tension, while the remix roster runs from Arca, Boys Noize and Mark Pritchard to Chilly Gonzales, Lanark Artefax, Jack Dangers and The Dare. Boys Noize takes on three tracks, and Arca's version of "As Alive As You Need Me To Be" closes the record by pulling the score's big vocal song apart.

The range is wide, from bruising club workouts to fractured, experimental takes, yet the shared DNA of Reznor and Ross's synth palette keeps it feeling like one piece rather than a grab bag.
