Ninajirachi's I Love My Computer is headed to blue vinyl, a pre-order pressing of the Australian producer's 2025 debut album and its giddy, glitch-flecked love letter to growing up online.
Nina Wilson spent years building a following through club tracks, a mixtape and the Girl EDM (Disc 1) compilation before making this full-length statement for NLV Records. It is loosely autobiographical, tracing a childhood spent listening to music on an iPod Touch, coming of age in the early 2010s and forming an intense, complicated bond with the machine on her desk. The album went on to take the Australian Music Prize.
The production is maximal and bright, built for big rooms yet full of tiny personal details. "iPod Touch" turns nostalgia into a rush of euphoric synths, while "All I Am" and "Infohazard" hit hard and fast, leaving barely a moment to catch a breath. "It's You," featuring Daine, adds a moodier vocal counterpoint to the album's hyperactive heart, and Wave Racer's mix keeps every layer crisp.
It plays like a coming-of-age story told through a laptop speaker, then blown up to festival size. This blue pressing is due shortly, and it is a fitting way to own one of the most celebrated Australian dance records of recent years.
