Too Fast for Love turns 45 and arrives in a deluxe box set stacked with 4LP, a 7" single, a 12" Single, a CD and a cassette. It’s the full origin story of a Sunset Strip menace, pressed with unreasonable generosity.

At the heart sit both versions of the debut, remastered: the 1981 Leathür Records original and the 1982 Elektra Records edition. Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx, Mick Mars and Tommy Lee sound underfed, overconfident and absolutely certain the world owes them a good time.

Then the extras start piling up. There’s a double LP of raw live recordings from Perkins Palace in 1982, a first-ever studio session from 1981, a replica of the original single and a replica of the 1981 demo cassette. Archivists, rejoice.

The songs still hit like a dive-bar fire alarm. Live Wire kicks the door in, Stick to Your Guns snarls right behind it, Take Me to the Top swaggers through the middle, and Public Enemy #1 keeps the attitude turned all the way up.
