Legend arrives on colored vinyl as a tribute to MO3, the Dallas rapper whose raw, melodic street records made him a Texas hero before his life was cut short in 2020.
Born Melvin Noble, MO3 built his following the hard way, through a run of Shottaz mixtapes and a joint album with Boosie Badazz, and songs like "Broken Love" showed a rare gift for pairing pain with a hook. Released in 2024 as his second posthumous album, Legend gathers his voice alongside guests who clearly wanted to honor him.
The record moves between hard-edged Southern bangers and the confessional, sing-song style that made his name. "Came Up" opens the album on a story of hunger and survival, while "AR" brings in fellow Dallas heavyweight BigXthaPlug for a dose of Texas muscle. "Time & Time Again" finds him trading verses with Fredo Bang, and "Shottaz" nods back to the crew name and mixtape series that started it all.
