Endless Summer Vacation is Miley Cyrus in full Los Angeles sunlight, the 2023 album that delivered a career-defining smash, pressed here on white vinyl as a Portugal import.
Her eighth studio album and first for Columbia, it shifted from the glam-rock grit of Plastic Hearts toward pop and dance-pop, with a sequence that follows the course of a day across two halves, AM and PM. She worked with producers including Kid Harpoon, Tyler Johnson, Greg Kurstin and Mike Will Made It, and the album earned Grammy nominations for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album.
Then there is "Flowers", a self-love anthem with a disco shimmer that spent eight weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and won Record of the Year. "River" turns up the tempo for sweaty, late-night dance-pop, "Jaded" offers a bruised, honest kiss-off, and "Thousand Miles" pairs her with Brandi Carlile for a soaring duet. Sia also drops by later in the set.
Her voice is the real headline, smoky and elastic, moving from tender restraint to full-throated release without strain.
