Mutant, in partnership with Lakeshore Records and Searchlight Pictures are proud to present the premiere physical release of Michael Giacchino's score to Taika Waititi's 2023 film Next Goal Wins.
As with their acclaimed collaboration Jojo Rabbit, Giacchino finds himself thriving in the tonally singular sandbox that only Waititi can create. Giacchino is absolutely in his element in American Samoa, mixing heavy amounts of percussion and synth to carefully capture the energy of the island nation, playing triumphantly to the needs of a sports-comedy while never denying the melancholy hidden underneath.
This premiere physical release is strictly limited to 500 units and features a package designed by Mutant co-founder Mo Shafeek, pressed on 140 gram Neon Pink vinyl.
