Multi Death Chicken Stains 12 (Millennium Edition) Vinyl

Multi Death Chicken Stains 12 collects M.D.C.'s earliest, angriest 7-inches onto one remastered 12-inch, a snapshot of early-80s hardcore at its most furious.

Following their 1982 debut album, M.D.C. channelled the fear and fury of a world on the brink of nuclear war into a run of blistering singles, Multi Death Corporation, Millions of Dead Children and The Stains, each one a burst of unfiltered angst. Beer City Skateboards and Records has restored and remastered all of them here, along with bonus tracks from the original sessions that never fit on the 7-inches.

Multi Death Corporations opens the hostilities, Chicken Squawk delivers its title with gleeful rudeness, John Wayne Was a Nazi turns an American icon into a punchline, and Corporate Deathburger tears into consumer culture in a blur of speed.

The 12-inch format at 45 RPM gives the grooves more room, so every riff and shout hits harder than on the original pressings. Fold-out posters from the first two 7-inches bring back the lyrics and artwork, and founders Dave Dictor and X Con Ron have each written new liner notes. It is almost like owning the originals, minus the collector prices, and a thrilling reminder of what hardcore sounded like when it still felt dangerous.
