Marina's Princess Of Power arrives here on limited yellow vinyl, a bright, maximalist 2025 pop record that marks her first album as a fully independent artist.
After 14 years on a major label, Marina Diamandis struck out on her own, launching her own imprint for this sixth studio album. The freedom shows. Where Ancient Dreams in a Modern Land wrestled with the state of the world, this one plays like a victory lap, glittering with synths and big, theatrical hooks, all delivered with her trademark wicked sense of humor.
Co-producing with CJ Baran, she pulls from 1970s glamour and 2000s pop in equal measure. Butterfly, the lead single, flutters in on a glossy, uplifting chorus that feels built for festival crowds, and Cupid's Girl struts with flirtatious confidence. Digital Fantasy leans fully into shiny, futuristic synth-pop, and Final Boss closes the record with fitting swagger.
Underneath the sparkle sit the themes she has always explored best: empowerment, feminism, sexual freedom and the occasional twist of tragedy, sung with that unmistakable, operatic swoop of a voice.
