Madonna's Confessions on a Dance Floor gets the mirrorball treatment it always deserved, pressed on limited edition silver colored vinyl across two LPs.

Released in 2005, her tenth studio album was a gleeful return to the club after the more somber American Life. Working closely with producer Stuart Price, Madonna built the record as one continuous DJ-style mix, each track bleeding into the next with no pause for breath, a love letter to the dance floors that made her a star in the first place.

Hung Up sets the tone, lifting the unmistakable ABBA hook from Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight) and stretching it into a ticking, euphoric anthem. Sorry keeps the pulse racing with icy synths and an opening line delivered in several languages, Get Together glows with warm, hazy house textures, and Jump is propulsive pop built for the last song of the night.

Price's production borrows freely from disco and synth-pop history without ever sounding like a museum piece, and Madonna sounds looser and more playful here than she had in years.

For a record this obsessed with shine, silver vinyl feels exactly right. A late-career peak from pop's most restless reinventor, and a set made to be played loud from start to finish.
