The original Celebration arrived in 2009 as a sprawling retrospective of her first quarter century, with songs picked by Madonna and her fans, and it went on to sell millions of copies worldwide and top the charts in several countries. This newly curated edition boils it down to one disc, sequenced as a run of peaks that stretches from the downtown New York clubs of the early 1980s to the global dance floors of the 2000s.

Side one opens with "Hung Up", that ABBA-sampling disco rush, before "Like A Prayer" brings the gospel choir and the controversy in equal measure.
