Low Cut Connie's Livin in the USA finds Adam Weiner pounding the piano and asking hard questions about the country he loves to sing about.
Since forming in Philadelphia in 2010, the band has revolved around Weiner, a showman whose sweaty, hammering live sets earned admirers from Bruce Springsteen to Elton John. His Tough Cookies broadcasts kept the party going through lockdown, and the Art Dealers album and documentary that followed confirmed him as one of rock and roll's most committed entertainers. Released in 2026, this is the eighth Low Cut Connie studio album.
The title track sets the tone. First released in 2025 as a piano ballad and later reborn as an electric single, it is a pointed state-of-the-nation song that drew online threats and a cancelled festival booking for Weiner, and it anchors a record that mixes outrage with empathy. Around it sit songs like "Get Down," "Little Freakers" and "Human Condition," where his barroom piano and ragged, preacher-like delivery carry the band's trademark mix of humour and heart.
It is loud, funny, angry and big-hearted, a rock and roll record that refuses to keep its opinions to itself. Play it loud enough for the neighbours to join the conversation.
