Leisure's Sunsetter glows on solid red vinyl, a 2021 album of breezy, sun-drenched grooves from the New Zealand collective.

Formed in 2015 after casual writing sessions at a beach house in Muriwai, the Auckland five-piece built their sound from funk, boom bap, R&B and silky dance-pop, with a cast of members already well known on the local scene. Their third album, produced by the band themselves, refines that blend into something smooth, unhurried and effortlessly cool. Keyboardist Josh Fountain, for one, has also produced for fellow Kiwi star Benee.

Slipping Away became one of their biggest songs, riding a lazy, irresistible groove and layered vocals that seem to melt into the rhythm section. Lonely Nights and Be With You keep the mood warm and easygoing, while Take You Higher lifts the energy with a glossy, nu-disco shimmer. The whole record feels designed for golden-hour drives and long evenings that drift into late nights.

Pressed in solid red, this edition suits the album's late-summer mood perfectly. Put it on as the light starts to fade, turn it up a notch, and let those grooves do the rest of the work for you.
