After Padam Padam turned Tension into one of the most celebrated records of her career, Minogue planned a simple repackage, then found herself with enough new songs and collaborators to build an entirely new album. Her seventeenth studio record reunites her with trusted hands including Biff Stannard, Duck Blackwell, Lostboy and Ina Wroldsen, and gathers every duet she released that year in one place.
Lights Camera Action, the lead single, is pure club adrenaline, all raving synths and a strutting beat. My Oh My pairs her with Bebe Rexha and Tove Lo for a flirty, glittering three-way, Edge of Saturday Night with The Blessed Madonna is a sweaty after-hours club cut, and Midnight Ride brings Orville Peck and Diplo onto the dancefloor.
Some songs were even recorded in hotel rooms on the road, and that restless, globe-trotting energy runs right through the record, with Dance Alone, her duet with Sia, bringing it home.
