Juan Gabriel's Abrázame Muy Fuerte returns as a 25th anniversary 2LP edition, celebrating the 2000 album that carried Mexico's most beloved songwriter into a new century.
By then, El Divo de Juárez had already written a lifetime of standards, yet this record marked a triumphant return to the charts. Its title song became the theme of the Televisa telenovela of the same name, carrying his voice into living rooms across Latin America night after night. Produced with Bebu Silvetti among others, the album pairs grand romantic arrangements with the plainspoken emotion that made Juan Gabriel a household name for generations.
The title track is the heart of it, a sweeping plea for closeness that still lands with full force. "Del Altar Hasta la Tumba," whose title alone promises forever, leads a run of heartfelt ballads, and "El Amor de Nosotros" leans into tender, slow-dancing romance. "Estos Son Recuerdos," whose title translates as these are memories, closes the set on a fittingly nostalgic note, a gentle farewell after so much grand romance.
Spread across two LPs, these songs have room to breathe. The anniversary pressing is a fitting tribute to an artist whose music remains woven into family gatherings, long drives and late-night singalongs wherever Spanish is spoken.
