John Lennon's Love slows to a meditative glow on Love (Meditation Mixes), a three-LP set on 180 gram colored vinyl housed in a gatefold jacket.

Produced by Sean Ono Lennon, this is the second volume in a series that began with the Mind Games Meditation Mixes in 2025. The source is the tender ballad from John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band, recorded at Abbey Road in 1970 with John on vocals and acoustic guitar and Phil Spector on piano. Sam Gannon mixed and engineered the new versions, stretching that brief, delicate original into nine pieces that run from around four minutes to nearly twenty-three.

Each mix takes its title from a word in the lyric, which gives the set a lovely, circular logic. Real opens proceedings with a binaural treatment designed for a particular brainwave state, and shorter pieces like Touch drift by gently. Reaching fills an entire side at more than twenty minutes, while Knowing, the longest of the four binaural tracks, takes over a side of its own.

This is music for slowing down rather than singing along, an immersive way to sit inside one of Lennon's purest love songs. It works beautifully as late-night listening, and it offers a fresh way to hear a voice that still sounds startlingly close.
