Jimmy Fallon brings the late-night party home for the holidays on Holiday Seasoning, his 2024 Christmas album, pressed on festive red and white vinyl.
His third studio album took shape over several years, after Fallon decided against covering familiar carols and set out to write his own seasonal songs instead. The first single, released in 2021 with Ariana Grande and Megan Thee Stallion, was meant to lift spirits during the pandemic. Issued on St. James Place and Republic, the finished album gathers a remarkable guest list from his world of music and comedy, including the Jonas Brothers, Meghan Trainor, Justin Timberlake, Dolly Parton, Will Ferrell and his trusty house band, The Roots.
Holiday, with the Jonas Brothers, is a bright, harmony-stacked singalong, and Wrap Me Up pairs Fallon with Meghan Trainor for retro-flavoured fun. Almost Too Early for Christmas, sung with Dolly Parton, pokes affectionate fun at decorations that go up far too soon, while New Year's Eve Polka (5-4-3-2-1) teams him with The Roots and "Weird Al" Yankovic for a gloriously silly countdown.
It's goofy, warm-hearted and stuffed with famous friends, much like the best holiday parties, and it never takes itself too seriously. Put it on while wrapping presents and let the cheer do the rest.
