Jethro Tull's J-Tull Dot Com arrives on vinyl for the first time as Another Cast Of The Net, a 180-gram double LP in a gatefold jacket with a booklet.

First released in 1999, the album caught Ian Anderson and the late-90s line-up of Martin Barre, Andrew Giddings, Doane Perry and Jonathan Noyce blending their folk-rock and progressive roots with contemporary production on the eve of the millennium. For this edition the record has been newly remixed by Bruce Soord of The Pineapple Thief, one of modern prog's most respected names.

Spiral and Dot Com open proceedings in confident fashion, with Anderson's flute weaving around Barre's guitar in familiar style. Hunt By Numbers and Bends Like A Willow show the range of the record, moving from sharp, riff-driven rock to the gentler, more reflective side of his songwriting. Throughout, the remix gives the arrangements fresh air and definition.

The final sides go further, adding a run of previously unreleased studio recordings from the period alongside other bonus material, so even longtime fans will find something new to explore.

Often overlooked in the band's long history, this late-period album makes a strong case for reappraisal, and this handsome gatefold set is an ideal way to hear it again with fresh ears.
