GWAR's The Return of Gor Gor brings the band's monstrous T-Rex back for a fresh rampage, on 180 gram clear purple vinyl with an etching and a comic book.
The Richmond, Virginia, shock-rock institution has spent four decades blending thrash, punk and gleefully gory theater, with every release doubling as a chapter in their intergalactic mythology. This 2025 release continues the saga with three brand new studio songs, a comic detailing Gor Gor's latest chaos, and four live recordings from the band's recent tour.
"The Great Circus Train Disaster", "Lot Lizard" and "Tyrant King" deliver the band's trademark mix of crunching riffs, galloping tempos and cartoon menace, with plenty of twisted humor in the lyrics. The live tracks capture the band in their natural habitat, tearing through "America Must Be Destroyed" and "The Founding Fathers" with the snarling energy that has made their shows so notorious.
Equal parts music and mayhem, it is a collector's piece built for the faithful who want the whole package, with the story and the art sitting right alongside the songs.
