Gregory Alan Isakov's The Weatherman is a quiet, star-filled set of front-porch folk, the 2013 album that turned many casual listeners into devoted fans.

Born in South Africa and based in Colorado, Isakov writes songs that feel rooted in wide skies, long drives and small-hours reflection. He is also a working farmer, and that patient, seasonal rhythm seems to run through everything here. Released on his own Suitcase Town Music label, the record trusts its songs completely, with no gimmicks and nothing rushed, letting each melody settle in at its own pace.
