New Junk Aesthetic finds Every Time I Die sharpening their swagger into something nastier, smarter, and impossibly catchy. The 2009 album captures the Buffalo band kicking metalcore in the teeth while grinning.
Released by Epitaph in 2009, the record arrived at a moment when the group had already built a reputation for chaos with precision. Guitarists Andy Williams and Jordan Buckley lace the songs with serrated Southern rock riffs while Keith Buckley delivers his sly, literate snarl, pushing the band's mix of hardcore velocity and barroom groove to a new peak.
Tracks like Wanderlust and Roman Holiday explode with riff heavy bravado, balancing hardcore fury with a swagger that feels almost classic rock in spirit. Meanwhile After One Quarter Of A Revolution and White Smoke pile on razor sharp breakdowns, acrobatic drumming, and lyrics that swing between gallows humor and poetic venom.
