Don Idiot is the free electron Pierre Donadio, an extraordinary character, photographer and musician. After a first album in 2014, Pierre locks himself up in Creuse at the Capitola Analog Studio to put this new album on tape, written and composed on the spot and in an emergency. Swapping the language of Jeffrey Lee Pierce for the one of Jacques Dutronc, he sings there 10 years of lose, filthy bars, laziness and cracks, motionless drifting in boredom, alcoholic odysseys at the end of the night, disillusioned tomorrows, of girls who leave and never come back. Behind him, the group weaves between lo-fi song, twisted garage-punk, ramshackle tunes and slacker variety. It is both raw and beautiful, uncompromising and endearing, wry and brimming with dreams. It's the Velvet Underground and the Olivensteins. It's the rantings of Antoine, the deviations of the Black Lips and the heartbreaks of the Gun Club. It is destined to be cult.
