Bedford's Don Broco throw everything at the wall on Nightmare Tripping, their fifth album, and most of it sticks; this UK import comes on limited colored vinyl.
The follow-up to 2021's Amazing Things took shape between 2024 and 2026 across five studios, from Chris Wolstenholme's home studio to a hotel room in Adelaide, with Dan Lancaster producing. The effort paid off: the record reached number seven on the UK Albums Chart and became the band's fifth straight number one on the UK Rock & Metal Albums Chart.
Rob Damiani, Simon Delaney, Matt Donnelly and Tom Doyle pull from nu metal, metalcore and alternative rock, then smear it with pop hooks, electronic textures and an industrial bite. Cellophane fired the opening shot as the first single, while the title track brings in Chad Kroeger and Ryan Peake of Nickelback for a collaboration the band called a dream come true. True Believers adds Sam Carter of Architects to the fray, and Hype Man was among the early singles that built anticipation for the record.
It is loud, playful and unapologetically maximal, a band enjoying itself without ever losing the riff.
Eleven tracks, one colored LP, and plenty of reasons to keep flipping it back to side one.
