Dirty Heads set a course for sunnier waters on 7 Seas, their ninth full-length album, pressed on 140 gram blue vinyl that suits its ocean-going spirit.

Released in 2026, the record is the band's first since Midnight Control and leans back into the blend that made their name, a laid-back mix of reggae, hip-hop, alternative rock and pop. Lead single One of Those Days was recorded in Nashville, which the band now treat as a second home for writing and recording, and the album carries that relaxed, everyone-in-the-room feel. The band's Jon Olazabal has described it as covering every mood from beach days to late nights, which is about as Dirty Heads as a mission statement gets.

The title track Seven Seas sets the tone with easygoing, sun-warmed grooves, and One of Those Days captures the simple pleasure of time spent with close friends. 2 Young is the album's most personal moment, with vocalist Dustin Bushnell, better known as Duddy B, trading verses with his daughter Sophia Lynn on a song about the confusing thrill of growing up.

There is real heart under the breeze here, and the band sound comfortable in their own skin. It is a record built for warm evenings and good company, and a fine snapshot of what Dirty Heads do best.
