David Bowie’s Heroes, his twelfth studio album and the centerpiece of the Berlin Trilogy, is presented here in a digitally remastered vinyl LP edition.
Originally released in October 1977 on RCA Records, Heroes saw Bowie continue the experimental direction of Low while crafting one of his most enduring and iconic works. Recorded entirely in West Berlin at the legendary Hansa Tonstudio, the album blends ambient textures, avant-garde experimentation, and powerful rock anthems, with King Crimson’s Robert Fripp contributing his unmistakable guitar work.
The title track “Heroes” remains one of Bowie’s defining songs—an anthem of hope and resilience set against the stark realities of the Cold War. Beyond its legendary single, the album delves into atmospheric instrumentals and bold sonic explorations, shaped in collaboration with Brian Eno and producer Tony Visconti.
