Crossbone Skully double down on big riffs and bigger choruses with Condemned to Rock n' Roll, their second album, pressed on 180-gram vinyl in a gatefold sleeve.
The band is the creative outlet of Tommy Henriksen, best known as a guitarist with Alice Cooper and Hollywood Vampires, and features fellow Cooper guitarist Anna Cara. Their 2024 debut, Evil World Machine, drew Robert John "Mutt" Lange out of retirement as executive producer, and he returns in that role here, with Jay Ruston mixing and Howie Weinberg handling mastering.
Henriksen has described the record as a mix of everything that shaped him, from 80s metal and classic rock to pop and country, and that range shows. "Thunder Love" brings in Def Leppard's Phil Collen for a stadium-sized anthem, while "Riding with Angels" is a heartfelt tribute to the people who stood by him on the way up. The title track wears its devotion to loud guitars proudly.
Across the album, Henriksen circles themes of love, rebellion and survival, delivered with the swagger and polish of a veteran of the world's biggest stages.
Due in early 2027, it is a big, unapologetic rock record for anyone who still believes in raising a fist and turning it up.
