Generic Everything is Chase & Status refusing to sound like anyone else, and this autographed copy puts a personal mark on one of their boldest records.
Saul Milton and Will Kennard have always moved freely between rave, drum and bass, rap and sound system culture, and the 2026 album turns that restlessness into a statement. Its central idea is resistance to creative conformity, a pushback against music shaped to fit a feed or an algorithm. Rather than chase a formula, the duo built a record around voices and collisions that no playlist would think to put side by side.
The guest list reads like a map of British talent and beyond. J Hus and IRAH set the tone on "Disgruntled," Little Simz cuts through the low end with cool precision on "Carnage," and Giggs brings his heavyweight baritone to "Timber." Then Skrillex arrives for "Essa Ta Quente," a bass-loaded crossover that sounds built for a festival tent at full tilt.
D Double E, Col3trane, Saam Sultan and Ledbyher add more colour along the way, while the production stays lean and punchy, made for big rooms and bigger speakers. Nothing outstays its welcome across ten tracks.
