Midnight, mon amour is Charlotte Cardin's third album, a bilingual after-dark record that turns toward her shadow side.

The Montreal singer has been on a remarkable run, with both Phoenix in 2021 and 99 Nights in 2023 named Album of the Year at the Juno Awards. Those records built her reputation for smoky, intimate pop with a sharp emotional edge, and this one goes looking for the parts of herself she usually keeps out of view.

Moving between English and French, Cardin explores duality from every angle: social expectations set against private desire, day against night, and the contradictions of being a woman. Switching languages becomes part of the story, each one revealing a different side of her, from the confident public face to the more private self underneath.

She made it with long-time collaborator Jason Brando, and previewed it with The Way We Touch and the upbeat Memories, a song about how our feelings quietly recolour the past every time we look back. Together they hint at a record built for late nights and close listening.
