Charli XCX's Number 1 Angel returns as a 140-gram reissue, putting the 2017 mixtape where her restless, club-wired pop really started to sprint back on the turntable.

Arriving months before Pop 2, the tape skipped the slow build of a traditional album campaign for something quicker and looser. Heard now, it plays like an early sketch of the hyperactive, guest-packed pop she would keep sharpening for years, with the rough edges left in on purpose.

A. G. Cook handles much of the production, with SOPHIE, Easy FX, Danny L Harle and John Hill also at the controls.
