Buffalo Traffic Jam make an assured, heartfelt debut with Pictures of You, a 2026 album of rootsy songs about memory, loss and the people who shape us.
The duo of Frankie Cassidy and Nathan Ross wrote the record after the death of Cassidy's grandmother, and that grief runs quietly through all fourteen tracks without ever weighing them down. Released through Arista, it was shaped by a team of producers including Ryan Hadlock, Sam Westhoff and Brian Elmquist, who give the songs a warm, organic sound that leaves plenty of space for the duo's voices and stories. It sounds like a record made by friends who trust each other completely.
"Fool's Gold" became the breakout, an easygoing, sing-along tune that helped carry the pair onto bigger and bigger stages. "Luckiest Man Alive" counts blessings with a gentle grin, while the title track "Pictures of You" leans into nostalgia with tender, aching lyrics. "Buyin' Dirt" adds a dusty, back-porch charm that ties the whole thing to the land.
