Bring Me the Horizon's Post Human: Nex Gen arrives as a 140-gram double LP, a sprawling, hyperactive record that sounds like the band flicking through every tab of their own history at once.
Surprise-released in 2024 as the second chapter of the Post Human series, it followed the longest gap between studio albums in the band's career and became the last to feature keyboardist and producer Jordan Fish. Singles had been trickling out for years, so fans arrived already knowing a good chunk of the material; the full album folds those songs into a restless, interlinked whole stitched together by ominous interludes.
Oli Sykes sounds equally at home screaming over glitchy metalcore and crooning over big emo-pop hooks. "Kool-Aid" snaps between pummeling verses and a huge sing-along chorus, "Limousine" brings AURORA's eerie, crystalline vocals into a slow-motion collision, and "Lost" leans into a pop-punk rush with a knowing grin. Underoath, Lil Uzi Vert and Glassjaw's Daryl Palumbo add more guest firepower along the way.
Spread across four sides, the record's channel-surfing sequencing makes even more sense on vinyl, where the interludes play like scene changes in a strange late-night film. For a band that has never stood still, it is a loud, gloriously modern snapshot.
