Up Here gives the Heeler family's world a full symphonic makeover, and this UK import presses it on 140-gram blue vinyl that Bluey herself would surely approve of.

Released in 2026 as the fourth Bluey album, it is the first to bring a full symphony orchestra into the backyard. Composer Joff Bush and the show's music team reworked their scores into brand-new orchestral recordings, played by more than 100 musicians including members of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra and Camerata, Queensland's Chamber Orchestra. For a series made in Brisbane, it is a fittingly local affair.

The theme tune opens in grand style, swelling far beyond its usual few seconds, before Sleepytime drifts in with the star-gazing pull of Holst that turned that episode into a famous tearjerker. Ice Cream waltzes merrily through Tchaikovsky's Waltz of the Flowers, and Mount Mumandad brings a burst of playful mischief. Across the record the arrangements borrow from Mozart, Vivaldi, Bach and Gershwin as comfortably as from the show's own melodies, with strings, woodwinds and brass taking turns in the spotlight.

It works beautifully as a family listen on a slow Sunday morning, and as proof that the music behind the show has always been quietly brilliant. Grown-ups who cry at Sleepytime, consider yourselves warned.
