Zakk Wylde fires up the riff machine again on Engines of Demolition, Black Label Society's 2026 album, pressed as a 2LP set on orange vinyl with black splatter.

This is the band's twelfth studio album and their first since Doom Crew Inc., the longest stretch between records in their history. Wylde spent much of that time on the road with Pantera, writing these songs along the way, and the wait shows only in how fully loaded they arrive.

Production was handled in-house by Wylde, bassist John DeServio and Adam Fuller, with Dario Lorina on rhythm guitar and Jeff Fabb behind the kit. Name in Blood opens with the kind of sludgy, pinch-harmonic swagger that has been the band's calling card for decades, and Lord Humungus keeps the tempo heavy and the grooves thick. Wylde has always had a soft side, though, and Back to Me is one of the tender ballads he loves to slip between the riffs. The album closes with Ozzy's Song, a heartfelt farewell to Ozzy Osbourne, the man who first handed a young Wylde the keys to the world stage.

Loud and unmistakably Black Label, it is a record built for cranking with the windows down. The orange and black splatter vinyl suits its fire-and-steel attitude perfectly.
