Benson Boone goes big on American Heart, a second album soaked in 1970s rock-tinged pop and pressed on red, white and blue vinyl.

Released in 2025, it follows his debut Fireworks & Rollerblades and finds Boone chasing a retro, Springsteen-flavoured sense of Americana. Producers Jason Evigan, Jason Suwito, Malay and Evan Blair help him build a bright, widescreen sound, and the songs are short and punchy, with ten tracks clocking in at around half an hour. There is no filler, just a singer with a huge voice and a clear idea of the record he wanted to make.

It's also his most personal set so far. Lead single "Sorry I'm Here for Someone Else" turns an awkward run-in with an ex into a soaring pop moment, while "Momma Song" is a heartfelt tribute to his mother and "Mr Electric Blue" pays loving homage to his father. "Young American Heart" closes the record by revisiting a near-fatal car accident he survived as a teenager with his best friend.

Big hooks and bigger vocals make this a natural fit for the turntable, and the patriotic colourway suits the title perfectly. Fans who fell for that voice will find plenty here to sing along with at full volume.
