The End of Genesys closes the trilogy Anyma has been building since 2023, pressed here across 2LP on porcelain powder vinyl.

Matteo Milleri came up as half of Tale of Us and turned Afterlife into one of the most recognisable identities in dance music, which is a rare thing for a label built on melodic techno. Anyma is the solo project where he pushed further, pairing that sound with AI-generated visual worlds and android imagery until the music and the screen became inseparable. It worked well enough that he became the first electronic artist to take a residency at the Las Vegas Sphere, and much of this record premiered inside that dome.

Work brings Yeat into the fold for the album's most abrasive moment, all distorted low end and vocal processing pushed past comfort. Hypnotized takes the opposite route, Ellie Goulding floating over a build that knows exactly how long to wait. Elsewhere Grimes, 070 Shake, and Luke Steele of Empire of the Sun each turn up, and the guest list makes sense once you notice they all share a taste for the slightly inhuman.

The trilogy's preoccupations, technology and nature and what coexistence might actually cost, land harder now than when it started. Fitting that it ends here.
