Spread across two LPs, Alien Ant Farm's ANThology brings back the record that turned a Riverside, California band into a fixture of early 2000s rock radio.

Released in 2001 and produced by Jay Baumgardner, the album caught alternative metal at a moment when it was getting funkier and a lot more fun. Dryden Mitchell's elastic vocals and Terry Corso's springy guitar work gave the band a personality that stood out among the heavier, angrier acts of the day, and the songs never forgot to bring a hook.

Smooth Criminal is the headline, a muscular, tongue-in-cheek reworking of the Michael Jackson classic that became the band's global calling card. Movies matches it for sheer catchiness with a wistful, sing-along chorus, while Courage kicks the record off with a jolt of nervy energy.
