Vinyl LP pressing. Albez Duz was originally formed as a one-man side project by Eugen Herbst in 2006, who has shown responsible for the songwriting ever since. The band's first sign of life has been recorded in 2009 with Herbst being supported by singer Lars Kaeding. Shortly after, Kaeding died and the project Albez Duz was forced to step back into the shadows for three years. Nevertheless, Herbst continued composing several songs during that period of time until he finally found a new singer in Alfonso Brito, whose unique voice seemed just like being made for Albez Duz. From that day on, Herbst and Brito built the core of the band and two more albums followed in "The coming of Mictlan" (2014) and "Wings of Tzinacan" (2016). With "The coming of Mictlan" and especially "Wings of Tzinacan" being influenced by Aztec mythology, Albez Duz is now leaving this path on their new output. Therefore "Enigmatic Rites" deals with more mundane topics lyricalwise - a stonecold view on humanity seen through an occult mirror. As for the music, the band's new opus also differs from their last record "Wings of Tzinacan". Herbst describes the musical pathway on "Enigmatic Rites" as follows: "Our new album is like a journey back through time to a more natural, authentical, yet raw sound collage - without neglecting the typical ALBEZ DUZ ingredients. On the other hand there are also some fresh elements, influenced by the glorious early days of Heavy Metal. More midtempo parts, less keyboards - there's definitely many things to discover on this album."Enigmatic Rites" was recorded by Eugen Herbst and Julian Müssler at "Devil's II" studio Berlin and was mixed and mastered at Woodshed Studio by Victor Bullok (TRIPTYKON, DARK FORTRESS). Once "Enigmatic Rites" is spat out on humanity, Albez Duz will enter the stages again to spread the message of doom!
