The album reached No. 2 in New Zealand and cemented their reputation as one of indie rock's most dependable hook factories.

Opener "I'm Not Getting Excited" bursts out of the gate with nervy, racing guitars, while "Dying to Believe" balances crunchy riffs with sweet backing harmonies. The title track "Jump Rope Gazers" slows into a tender, swaying ballad, and "Out of Sight" shines with warmth, melody and a chorus that sticks for days.

Stokes writes with a rare gift for pairing self-doubt with fizzing, singalong refrains, and the band's tight, layered vocals make every chorus land. Even the slower songs keep a quiet tension humming underneath, as if the next guitar burst is only a breath away.

Clear orange vinyl matches the album's bright, bittersweet glow, a fine way to revisit one of the most likeable guitar records of its year, or to discover it for the first time.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0704/2026/7313/files/The_Beths-Jump_Rope_Gazers_Clear_Orange.jpg?v=1793980301
