New vocalist Greg Walker joined the lineup, and it would be the final album with original bassist David Brown. The result connected with a wide audience on both sides of the Atlantic, reminding listeners how irresistible the band could be when it locked into a groove.

"Dance Sister Dance (Baila Mi Hermana)" opens the record in a whirl of congas, timbales and stinging guitar, while "Let It Shine" leans into a smooth, funky soul groove. The instrumental "Europa (Earth's Cry Heaven's Smile)" is the emotional heart of the album, with Carlos's sustained guitar lines singing like a human voice over a slow, swelling backdrop. The percussion section is relentless throughout, giving even the mellow moments a restless, rhythmic pulse that never lets up.

For anyone who loves Abraxas but never went further into the 70s catalogue, this is a natural and rewarding next step. The heavy 180-gram pressing gives those percussion-rich arrangements real weight and warmth on the turntable.
