Their second full-length for Hopeless Records doubles down on that tension between big, radio-ready hooks and real weight.

Opener "Like a Weapon" sets the tone with chugging guitars and a chorus built for festival crowds. The title track "Prepare For Despair" leans into the darkness its name promises, "Recover" offers a moment of hard-won hope, and "Dark Days" brings in Jeris Johnson, whose genre-blurring style suits the record's moodier corners.

Lundin's voice is the anchor throughout, switching from clean, anthemic melodies to raw-throated screams without losing the thread, while the production keeps everything punchy and huge, with guitars stacked high and drums that hit like a fist.

It is a record for anyone who grew up on pop-punk and never quite stopped needing something louder, and it shows a young band growing into their own sound with real confidence and a clear sense of where they want to go next.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0704/2026/7313/files/Point_North-Prepare_For_Despair_Green.jpg?v=1793815985
