erra-silence-outlives-the-earth
Erra - silence outlives the earth

ERRA's silence outlives the earth pushes the Alabama progressive metalcore band into their most expansive territory yet.

Released in 2026 on UNFD, the band's seventh studio album was produced, engineered, mixed and mastered by Daniel Braunstein, who also worked with them on Cure. J.T. Cavey's harsh vocals and Jesse Cash's soaring cleans trade off across eleven tracks, and the record also brings the first song written by guitarist Clint Tustin, "Gore of Being", into the fold.

The album balances djent-heavy rhythm work with airy, atmospheric melody. "Further Eden" surges with technical riffing and a huge, cathartic chorus, "Echo Sonata" leans into intricate guitar interplay, and "Gore of Being" hits with crushing precision. The record closes with a three-part suite that begins with "I. The Many Names of God", shifting the tone toward something darker and more searching as the album winds to its end.

Cash's guitar work remains the band's calling card, intricate without tipping into showiness, and the production keeps every layer clear even when the whole band is at full force.

For fans who have followed ERRA since Impulse or Augment, this feels like the payoff of everything they have been building toward, and it rewards a full, uninterrupted listen from the first riff to the final fade.
