His band was one of the best he ever assembled, with Gail Ann Dorsey on bass, Earl Slick and Gerry Leonard on guitars, Mike Garson on piano, Sterling Campbell on drums and Catherine Russell adding keys and vocals. The setlist roams freely across four decades, setting recent material beside the songs that made him a legend.

Rebel Rebel kicks the night off with a grin, and songs from the Reality and Heathen albums sit comfortably beside the classics. Under Pressure becomes a thrilling duet with Dorsey taking the Freddie Mercury part, one of the evening's biggest moments, while Life on Mars? gets a gorgeous, piano-led reading. "Heroes" brings the house down exactly as it should, a soaring reminder of how much these songs still meant to him and to the crowd.

It is a generous, warm-hearted farewell to the stage. For fans, these three records are the closest thing to a front-row seat in Dublin.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0704/2026/7313/files/David_Bowie-A_Reality_Tour_Remastered_3LP.jpg?v=1793558447
