For the Redux, guitarist Kurt Ballou remixed the album and Alan Douches remastered it, giving the songs more weight and definition, while the sleeve flips the original's colours for a striking new look.

Jacob Bannon's voice is a raw nerve throughout. "Last Light" builds from a brooding, almost melodic ache before it erupts, while "Eagles Become Vultures" is a short, vicious burst of chaos. The title track and the sprawling "In Her Shadow" show a band willing to slow down, stretch out and let the dread pile up, and the Redux also carries "Wolves at My Door," first heard on the album's original vinyl edition.

It remains one of metallic hardcore's most emotionally naked records, and this version makes the case louder than ever. For anyone who only knows the band through their fastest moments, it is a vivid reminder of how much darkness and space they can hold. Play it loud and brace yourself.
