The album charted strongly across Europe, especially in Germany.

The title track opens the record like a declaration of war. "Tales from the Hard Side" deals in street-level storytelling over a crushing groove, "How It Is" brings in Sen Dog of Cypress Hill for a rap-metal collision that still sounds ferocious, and "Five Blocks to the Subway" captures the claustrophobia of city life in a few pummelling minutes.

Vocals bounce between Seinfeld and Graziadei over grooves built for circle pits, and the band never lets the tension drop for long.

For anyone who grew up on Sick Of It All, Pantera or Cypress Hill's heavier moments, it's a defining slab of '90s crossover aggression.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0704/2026/7313/files/Biohazard-State_of_the_World_Address.jpg?v=1793990345
